CyberFOX has purchased Microsoft 365 security provider Optimize365, adding continuous tenant monitoring, configuration hardening, and automated remediation capabilities to its cybersecurity offerings, according to an announcement from the company. The deal expands CyberFOX's ability to help IT teams and managed service providers identify and address security risks across customer environments. The acquisition builds on CyberFOX's existing portfolio of privileged access management, password management, AI-powered DNS filtering, and Zero Trust Network Access.

The acquisition delivers three core benefits for customers, the company states. First, it extends protection from endpoints, privileged access, credentials, and web traffic into the M365 environment, covering more of the attack surface. Second, it continuously identifies configuration drift, prioritizes high-risk changes, and automates remediation so IT teams don't need to monitor everything manually. Third, it brings complementary endpoint, identity, connectivity, and M365 security capabilities together under one provider. Existing Optimize365 partners and customers will see no disruption to service, support, or contracts, and Optimize365 will continue operating under its existing brand, according to the announcement.

"Cybersecurity isn't just about building walls; it's about knowing exactly where the cracks are before someone else finds them," said Charles Love, COO of ShowTech Solutions, in the announcement. "With Optimize365, we've given our team real-time visibility into configuration drift across our customer environments." CyberFOX CEO David Bellini noted that IT teams face an increasingly complex access attack surface, from endpoints and identities to Microsoft 365 and beyond, and that the goal is to provide a comprehensive suite of security platforms protecting the full access attack surface without adding more complexity. Adam Slutskin, CRO of CyberFOX, said the acquisition expands what the company can deliver to IT teams, offering a more complete approach to security without introducing another complex platform to manage.

The purchase follows CyberFOX's June acquisition of SASE provider Timus Networks and a nine-figure growth investment led by Level Equity and Radian Capital in February, the company reports. Integration into CyberFOX's partner program and broader product roadmap will occur over the next few quarters, though specific changes to partner access, licensing, or product integrations haven't been announced yet. The deal reflects CyberFOX's strategy to consolidate security tools that address different parts of the access attack surface—from endpoints and credentials to cloud configurations—under a single provider, reducing the number of platforms IT teams need to manage while expanding coverage of potential vulnerabilities. For managed service providers juggling multiple client environments, unified visibility into both on-premises and cloud security posture can streamline operations and catch misconfigurations before they become breaches. Consolidation also positions vendors to compete more directly with all-in-one security suites from larger platform players, though success depends on seamless integration and whether partners choose specialization or breadth.
