Hexnode, the enterprise software division of Mitsogo, has introduced Hexnode Synapse, an agentic AI orchestration layer built to transform service requests and system alerts into coordinated, traceable actions across IT and security operations. The platform helps managed service providers coordinate work from start to finish across the various tools their teams already rely on. It runs deepest on Hexnode's own unified endpoint management, extended detection and response, and identity provider products.

Hexnode Synapse operates through specialized AI agents that evaluate incoming requests and alerts, decide the next appropriate step, and take action within pre-set boundaries, according to the announcement. The platform features three agent types: a Device Agent that handles root cause diagnostics, compliance drift fixes, patch and vulnerability remediation, and device setup through Hexnode UEM; an Identity Agent that manages access requests, identity lifecycle tasks, role modifications, and account operations through Hexnode IdP; and a Threat Agent that performs alert triage, threat investigation, and containment through Hexnode XDR. The system starts with native context from Hexnode's own platforms and pushes workflows into surrounding IT and security tools, coordinating agents, approvals, and system actions around a single request, alert, or event. When a workflow touches more than one system, it handles cross-product sequences automatically.

"For MSPs, the challenge is not managing one environment, it is scaling consistently across hundreds of different customer environments," said Rachana Vijayan, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Hexnode. CEO and founder Apu Pavithran noted that real IT work never stays inside just one system: bringing on a new employee involves identity, devices, and HR systems, while responding to a threat touches the endpoint, user access, and the ticketing system—and today, a person connects all of that manually every single time. The platform uses guardrails with action-level approval gates and a traceable execution history to keep agent actions under human supervision, the company stated. Routine work proceeds on its own within those boundaries, while sensitive actions—such as endpoint isolation or changes to privileged access—are sent to a designated approver before execution.

Pavithran explained that autonomy without control isn't something an IT team will ever deploy, so anything consequential returns to a person, and if the system is uncertain, that also goes back to a person. Every autonomous and approved action is logged in the Execution Center, allowing MSP teams to browse and export this history for service reporting, reviews, and audits. At launch, Hexnode Synapse will connect with ServiceNow, Zendesk, Microsoft Entra ID, and BambooHR to extend workflows into the IT, identity, HR, and service-management systems MSPs handle for their clients. Rather than forcing technicians to jump between consoles manually, the platform orchestrates the sequence around a single trigger, aiming to reduce repetitive handoffs and accelerate resolution times across customer environments. For MSPs juggling hundreds of distinct client setups, the approval and audit trail offers a way to maintain governance while automating repetitive tasks that typically require human coordination. The platform's reliance on guardrails and human checkpoints reflects a design choice prioritizing control over speed, betting that MSPs will trade some velocity for visibility and risk management in production environments.
